Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh delivered a standout performance for NK Maribor on Saturday, scoring a crucial goal to help his team secure a 2-0 victory over Mura in an exciting Slovenian top-flight encounter.
Currently on loan from French side FC Metz, Tetteh played the entire match and was instrumental in Maribor’s dominant display in their Week 22 fixture.
The 27-year-old forward made a significant impact by getting on the scoresheet, ensuring Maribor took firm control of the game in the first half. The home side opened the scoring in the 11th minute through El-Arbi Hilal Soudani before Tetteh doubled their lead with a well-placed header, sealing the win.
Tetteh moved to Maribor on a season-long loan in search of regular playing time after struggling with injuries and consistency in France.
Following a dip in form, he will be aiming to revive his career in Slovenia before his loan spell ends.
Since joining Maribor, Tetteh has made a strong impression, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 10 appearances across all competitions.
