Berekum Chelsea’s talented center-back, Henry Kwame Ansu, is on the verge of making a move to Asante Kotoko, as the two clubs have reached a verbal agreement for his transfer.
Having played a crucial role in Berekum Chelsea’s defense for the past two years, Henry Ansu has caught the attention of Asante Kotoko, who believe his addition to their squad will significantly enhance their prospects in the domestic league and potentially secure a spot in African competitions.
Throughout the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, the 24-year-old defender stood out as one of the key players for Berekum Chelsea, impressing Dr. Ogum, the head of Asante Kotoko, who believes that Ansu’s presence in their defense will bolster their chances of competing for domestic titles this year.
Following the agreement between the two clubs, Henry Ansu is now expected to negotiate personal terms with Asante Kotoko before traveling to Kumasi for medical examinations, after which an official announcement of the transfer is likely.
Notably, Ansu was also part of the Black Galaxies team that participated in the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria, reaching the quarter-finals.
The anticipated deal will see Henry Ansu signing a three-year contract with Asante Kotoko, marking a significant move in his promising football career.
