Berekum Chelsea forward Emmanuel Sarpong has expressed strong confidence in his team’s readiness ahead of their crucial FA Cup semifinal clash against giants Asante Kotoko.
The Bibires are set to face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday at the TNA Stadium, with a spot in the final and a potential path to continental competition at stake.
In an interview with Ghanasportspage, the 27-year-old attacker revealed the high motivation within the squad, backed by full support from the club’s leadership.
“Our management is prepared to support us if we qualify for Africa, so we are highly motivated,” Sarpong stated.
“This match is a must-win for us. We are fully prepared—mentally, physically, and spiritually. We know what’s at stake, and we’re determined to deliver on Sunday.”
He also credited coach Samuel Boadu for instilling belief in the squad, adding that the team’s confidence has been boosted by the encouragement of club chairman Obed Nana Kwame Nketia.
“Our coach keeps reminding us that we are capable of beating Kotoko, and management is ready to back us in Africa. That’s all the push we need—we believe we can do it, and we will.”
Sarpong has featured in 25 matches for Berekum Chelsea across all competitions this season, contributing four goals.
