Ghanaian forward, Bernard Tekpetey, has revealed that he is not surprised by his exclusion from the Black Stars setup.
On Tuesday, Otoo Addo released a 29-man squad that included an injured Benjamin Tetteh.
Some Ghanaians were surprised by some exclusions including that of Tekpetey.
The player isn’t perturbed by the situation and remains patient.
“I wasn’t surprised with my exclusion in the BlackStars although I knew most of the players that will be called were injured, I think this call-up was done earlier but that’s not a worry because my focus is on our game with Roma tomorrow,” Tekpetey said on Wontumi Sports.
“I still see myself in the Black Stars in the future, I just have to stay focused and stay in good condition and I know with hard work, I will be called to serve the national team once again.”
He added that his focus is on AS Roma, a team he is set to face on Thursday.
“I’m hoping for a good game against Roma tomorrow, already the stadium is sold-out, BUT my target is to get a goal or assist from the game so I’m hoping and praying that, I’ll get my day.”
