Great Olympics displayed remarkable resilience on Monday evening as they clinched a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman FC.
The Accra-based club hosted Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium for a Week 9 match in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
After a slow start to the game by Great Olympics, Nsoatreman FC managed to take the lead after 15 minutes.
Mohammed Abdul Rahman concluded a well-orchestrated team move with a powerful strike that found the back of the net for Nsoatreman FC.
While that goal gave Nsoatreman FC the lead at halftime, Great Olympics made a strong comeback in the second half.
In a match that was interrupted by power challenges, Emmanuel Antwi’s brace allowed Great Olympics to come from behind and secure a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman FC at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win elevates Great Olympics to 3rd place on the Ghana Premier League table, while Nsoatreman FC remains in 2nd place.
