1. betpawa Premier League at one-third stage
With 34 games to be played by each team, Week 12 almost marks the one-third stage. Aduana Stars, Nsoatreman, and Berekum Chelsea have all shown title credentials whereas the two biggest teams in the country are nowhere to be found. Nations FC has proven that they can remain in the league with fellow newcomers Heart of Lions struggling. Sarmartex is enjoying life at the Nsenkyire Park with Hearts of Oak, Olympics and Accra Lions all momentarily vacating the Accra Sports Stadium for Christmas concerts. Two managers have been sacked with one being told to enjoy a leave.
2. Lowly Heart of Lions faces the wrath of Nsoatreman
Nsoatreman didn’t lose at Sunyani Coronation Park against Tano Bofoakwa but endured a horrible day as their coach Maxwell Konadu was beaten by Bofo fans.
Nsoatreman secured a valuable point in Sunyani and will be eager to win to console their manager, Maxwell Konadu. Nsoatreman will pour their anger at Heart of Lions who has been horrible and toothless in all their eleven games played.
Heart of Lions needs a huge mental lift just like their opponents Nsoatreman.
2. Will Aduana Stars bounce back to winning ways against the Accra Lions?
Aduana Stars have been the best team in the league as they occupy the top spot with 21 points. Karela’s 2-1 win over Aduana was a surprise one as it was like a David vs Goliath affair.
Surprisingly, Accra Lions has lost just one game away from home with Ibrahim Tanko’s team proving to be a formidable side away from home. They lost 3-0 at Great Olympics and have secured a 2-2 draw at Medeama, 1-1 draws at Berekum Chelsea, Bofoakwa Tano and Bibiani Gold Stars.

Samartex’s Heaven. Yes, Nsenkyire Park has been a haven for the Samreboi-based club. Samartex is in the top four with Just four points separating them and the table toppers, Aduana Stars all because of their brilliant performances at home. A win for Samartex against Real Tamale United can push them up the table. Nurudeen Amadu and his gentlemen are enjoying life in their paradise, Nsenkyire Sports Arena. RTU won their first game in five with a superb 3-1 win over Dreams with Owusu Afriyie scoring the first hat trick of the season.
5. Prosper Narteh Ogum has the opportunity to start winning the fans
A hard-fought but controversial 1-0 victory over Medeama lowered the immense pressure on Prosper Ogum as his opposition coach Paa Kwesi Fabian also might be under little pressure due to unwanted results. Legon Citiea have won one game in their last eight games which has sent them into the relegation zone. A win for Kotoko will make the fans start to believe in Prosper again but a defeat will awaken the pressure. Kotoko has not lost against Legon Cities in their last 5 away games having won four and drawn one.
6. Martin Koopman’s legacy will be the discovery of Hamza Issah
5 goals scored in 7 games is a wonderful achievement from the 21-year-old Aroras graduate. The sacked Martin Koopman will always be remembered by the Phobia family due to the discovery of the new sensation, Hamza Issah. He opened the scoring in the 2-1 victory on Tuesday against Accra Lions. He is carrying Hearts of Oak with Salifu Ibrahim doing a clever job from the middle of the pitch. A winning goal against Berekum Chelsea will be the icing on the cake. If the young man can help the Phobians snatch all three points against the in-form Chelsea, it will be a great week for Hearts of Oak.
7. Are Nations FC preparing to stay in the league?
10th on the table, Nations FC have climbed steadily up the table after finding themselves in the relegation zone on five occasions.
