Bibiani Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso has expressed contentment with his team’s performance despite a 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in a preseason friendly on Wednesday.
The lone goal, scored by Bernard Somuah, secured the win for Kotoko in the match held in Cape Coast. Despite the loss, Manso highlighted several positives from the encounter.
“We’ve played about six games so far, and although we lost to Asante Kotoko, there are many positives we can take from the game,” Manso stated. “We’ll address our shortcomings before the season begins next month.”
Bibiani Goldstars have concluded their one-month preseason training tour in the Central Region and will now return home to finalize their preparations for the new season.
The Ghana Premier League is set to kick off on September 6, 2024.
