The Black Maidens came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Kenya in a pre-camp friendly at the Stade Hay Moulay Rachid.
The match, organized as part of preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, saw Kenya take a surprise lead in the first half.
However, the Black Maidens responded with resilience. Captain Seidatu Wahab leveled matters from the penalty spot to restore parity before halftime.
In the second half, Priscilla Mensah found the back of the net to complete the comeback and seal victory for Ghana.
The win provides a massive confidence boost for the team as they continue preparations for the global showpiece.
Ghana has been drawn in a tough group for the World Cup and the technical team will be hoping to build on this performance in subsequent friendlies.
