Ghana’s Black Maidens have been placed in Group B for the WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Championship, which will also serve as the qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Black Maidens will battle Nigeria, Togo and Niger for a place in the next stage of the competition.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2026, with Côte d’Ivoire hosting the WAFU Zone B championship.
Ghana will be hoping to produce a strong campaign and secure qualification from the group as they pursue another appearance at the continental level.
