Ghana’s Black Meteors have safely arrived in Ghana on Wednesday afternoon after beating Mozambique in the CAF U23 Qualifiers last Sunday.
Accra Hearts of Oak SC striker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh got both goals for Ghana’s Olympic team in their 2-1 away win in Maputo.
Both goals scored by the Phobian talisman came from the spot after a goalless first 45 minutes of the match before the hosts scored late into additional time period.
The team has finally arrived in the country to prepare for Sunday’s clash in the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Ghana made it to the semi-final of the last edition in Egypt but failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics games by losing to South Africa on penalty shootouts.
