Cynthia Konlan, the goalkeeper for Ghana’s Black Queens, has expressed strong confidence ahead of their friendly match against Morocco today.
Ghana’s senior women’s national team will face the Atlas Lionesses at the Père Jégo Stadium in Casablanca, with the match set to kick off at 17:00 GMT.
Speaking about the upcoming game, Konlan highlighted the team’s readiness and belief in their strengths.
“We’re confident in our abilities and believe we have an advantage over Morocco,” she told the Ghana FA website.
She further suggested that Morocco might not be fully prepared for Ghana’s style of play.
“They might be relying on outdated information about our playing style, which could work in our favor.”
“We’re ready to take them by surprise and make the most of this opportunity,” she added.
After the Morocco game, the Black Queens will play against AS FAR Rabat in another test match three days later.
These matches are part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), set to take place later this year.
