Black Queens attacker Mukarama Abdulai has revealed her dedication to improving her goal-scoring abilities.
Known for her remarkable finishing skills since her teenage years, Abdulai was the top goal scorer at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, netting seven goals. However, she faced injury setbacks last year, which affected her form.
This year, Abdulai has gradually regained her form and impressed at the African Games in Ghana. Now back with the Black Queens, she is focused on returning to her best to score more goals.
“Yes, that’s something I am working hard towards because I have been out for a while and coming back has not been easy. I am working extra hard to get there,” Abdulai stated.
Looking ahead to the upcoming match against Japan, she anticipates a challenging but beneficial game.
“It will be a good exercise for us because we’ve really been working hard to get to the highest level of women’s football and Japan is one of the teams that we are looking forward to playing against. We will show up and put out our best because it is a friendly, so we are not emphasizing the result but to see how we are going to work and to see what the coach expects us to do in a match,” Abdulai explained.
The match between Japan and Ghana will be held at the Kanazawa Go Go Curry Stadium.
