Ghana’s U20 team, the Black Satellites, face a challenging path in the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after being placed in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Tanzania, and DR Congo. The group will also include a fifth team from the UNIFFAC 2 zone.
The tournament, which runs from April 26 to May 16, 2025, marks Ghana’s return to the U20 AFCON for the first time since 2021, when they clinched the title.
Tournament Groups
- Group A: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tanzania, DR Congo, UNIFFAC 2 representative
- Group B: Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa
- Group C: Senegal (defending champions), Zambia, Kenya, Sierra Leone
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the U20 World Cup, set to take place later in Chile.
