Ghanaian forward Joel Fameyeh emerged hero of the day after scoring an important brace against Dinamo Makhachkala to power Rubin Kazan to the Russia Premier League for the 2023/24 season.
The victory puts Rubin Kazan four points clear at summit of the 2022/23 Football National League table.
The club have amassed 68 points with only one game to spare.
Saturday’s win confirmed Rubin Kazan as champions of the Russia second-tier league, marking their successful return to the top flight after suffering relegation in the previous season.
Fameyeh, 26, played an instrumental role in Rubin Kazan’s triumphant campaign, leading them back to the top flight in their first attempt.
