Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan believes the current Black Stars team do not have a penetrative passer going into the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Gyan, a former Sunderland striker says midfielders must always take risk to lay passes to a striker when he moves into the 18 yard box. After watching Ghana’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil last month in an international friendly, Gyan is of the view that the only way to see the team driving in a comfort zone will be taking risk to give penetrative passes. “Attackers always run but doesn’t get the balls from midfielders, they must take risk with the balls to give penetrative passes”
