Former Ghana head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor, has opened up on some unfortunately treatment he faced during his time with the Black Stars.
Akonnor in an interview with Joy Sports revealed that the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) influenced national team call-ups.
The 48-year-old was dismissed in September, 2021, after being in charge of 10 games (4W, 2D, 4L).
He further indicated that he became frustrated at some point, adding he wasn’t going to invite then Amiens midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey a call-up.
Akonnor is currently with no club since being relieved off his post by the country’s football governing body.
