Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has his doubts about the possibility of Ghana winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
His response at the pre-match press conference today showed the coach doesn’t believe his team is capable of lifting the covetous FIFA World Cup trophy on December 18 in Doha.
He was rather sceptical about the team’s chances of winning the FIFA Mundial as he wished his country of birth, Germany would rather lift the tournament if they were in a good form.
“To win the world cup? Phew! Normally I would like to go with Germany but the odds are not really in their favour at the moment”, he told the press.
Otto Addo’s Black Stars from Ghana are the youngest team competing at this year’s World Cup and will hope to bounce back from that defeat on Monday.
Ghana lost 3-2 to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and anything apart from a win may jeopardize Ghana’s qualification to the next stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
