The home-based players of the Ghana Black Stars, together with members of the technical team, have departed Ghana this morning for Mexico ahead of an upcoming international friendly.
The team is travelling in preparation for a high-profile fixture against Mexico scheduled for 22 May 2026.
The match is expected to serve as an important test for the locally-based squad, giving the technical team an opportunity to assess player performance at international level and build cohesion within the team setup.
Officials believe the game will also provide valuable exposure for the home-based players as they aim to impress and push for consideration in future national team selections.
Ghana will be looking to put up a strong showing as part of their continued preparations for upcoming international assignments.
