Following Otto Addo’s departure, head coach of Ghana’s U-17 side Abdul Karim Zito has spoken in favour of a veteran coach for the Black Stars.
Following the early elimination from the World Cup, Black Stars trainer Otto Addo, who was based in Germany, left his position.
The former Ghana U-20 manager said in an interview that the young Black Stars team needed a more seasoned coach.
“Our players are young, so they need an experienced coach to guide these boys. They are young and want to do everything for themselves so it will be prudent to get a senior coach to guide them,” he said.
Following a 2-0 loss against Uruguay, the Black Stars fell out of the tournament after the first round.
The Black Stars needed a draw or win against Uruguay after defeating South Korea in their last group match to go to the round of 16.
