Ghana’s Black Stars newbie Patrick Kpozo is all smiles at camp after his maiden call-up to play for Ghana on Thursday evening at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The former Ghana U-20 star received his first ever senior call-up by head coach Chris Hughton for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola.
He’s been in a superlative form this season in the Moldovan Premier League for giant FC Sheriff Tiraspol drawing the attention of the current new head coach.
He played in five out of the six 2022-23 UEFA Europa League games for the Yellow and Blacks outfit including two outstanding performances against Manchester United FC.
He could start against Angola on Thursday evening in Ghana at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi or may have his chance in Luanda in the reverse fixture.
