Ghana will travel to Bamako to face Mali in Matchday 3 in the first week of June but the head coach is yet to announce his official squad to the nation.
The Ghana Football Association on X has announced head coach Otto Addo’s meeting with the press to reveal his plans for Black Stars on Wednesday.
“Our Head Coach Otto Addo will meet the press at the headquarters of @ghanafaofficial at 11 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024,” wrote the GFA.
“This engagement is to highlight his plans and ambitions for the team and to announce his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic,” added Ghana Football Association.
The GFA revealed that Otto Addo wants to disclose his plans for the team. It has been rumoured that the head coach plans to build the team around the younger ones and has subsequently informed the old players of his plans.
Otto Addo will take the opportunity to also announce his squad to face Mali and Central African Republic when he meets the press on Wednesday.
Many Ghanaians do not understand why he has yet to name his team for those two crucial games with just two weeks left for those important matches.
The press event will be streamed across GFA platforms on Facebook, YouTube and the GFA App.
The GFA revealed that the media is advised to be seated by 10:45 am.
