General Secretary for the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo has confirmed that, plans are underway to announce Otto Addo as the substantive Black Stars manager.
The former Borrusia Dortmund player was installed in an interim capacity with the oversight responsibility of seeing Ghana through the world cup playoffs against Nigeria.
Ghana secured qualification with a 1 – 1 aggregate scoreline and there have since been several calls, notably from the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to back the BVB scout to be given the job on a permanent basis.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Prosper Harrison Addo hinted that the Ghana Football Association are in advanced talks with Dortmund to formalise Otto Addo’s appointment as the coach of the Black Stars.
“We are still in talks with Dortmund and I can assure you that Otto Addo will be confirmed as the black stars coach very soon “
The Black Stars will be making their 4th appearance at the World Cup in Qatar later in the year and are housed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea
