The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed that the Uganda Cranes will face Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, in an international friendly later this month.
Scheduled for March 26, 2024, the match will take place at the Stade Grande Marrakech in Morocco.
Ghana enters the friendly without a permanent head coach following the departure of Chris Hughton after the Black Stars’ early exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is expected to announce the new head coach soon, with their first assignment being the friendly against Uganda.
The last encounter between the two teams occurred during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, ending in a goalless draw.
Ghana holds a historical advantage in the head-to-head record, with seven wins against Uganda’s three victories, along with five draws.
