Bofoakwa Tano, the newly-promoted side in the Ghana Premier League, has expressed a keen interest in bringing back their former defender, Andrews Kwadwo Appau, from Asante Kotoko. This information comes from Mohammed Shaban, a reliable source in the local transfer scene.
Reports from various media outlets suggest that the Porcupines have made the decision to release Appau, who hasn’t managed to make a significant impact since his move from Bofoakwa Tano.
Back in October 2020, Appau signed a four-year contract with the Ghanaian giants; however, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.
Throughout three seasons, the central defender has made a modest 33 appearances, highlighting his lackluster performance during his time in Kumasi.
As it stands, Appau seems to be on the verge of departing from Asante Kotoko, with Bofoakwa Tano displaying a strong interest in bringing him back to their fold.
Interestingly, Appau is not currently part of the Kotoko squad that is undergoing preparations for the upcoming season in Beposo.
