In the heart of Sundowns Women’s Football Club’s triumph in the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League stood a player whose brilliance shone brightly throughout the tournament – Boitumelo Rabale who was named Player-Of-The-Tournament at the end of the thrilling and nerve wrecking competition this year by all the best female teams on the continent.

Rabale, a star in her own right, played a pivotal role in Sundowns’ journey to victory, showcasing a combination of skill, leadership, and match-winning performances.

From the group stages to the final, Rabale consistently demonstrated her versatility on the field. Whether orchestrating plays from the midfield, making crucial interceptions, or contributing with vital goals, she was a force to be reckoned with. Her ability to control the tempo of the game and inspire her teammates set her apart as a true leader.

In the knockout rounds, Rabale’s influence only grew stronger. Her performances were marked by moments of brilliance – a perfectly timed assist, a well-placed goal, or a crucial defensive intervention. As Sundowns secured a resounding 3-0 victory in the final against SC Casablanca, Rabale’s impact on the pitch was undeniable.

When the time came to award the Player of the Tournament, it was no surprise that Boitumelo Rabale’s name was called. Her exceptional contributions throughout the CAF Women’s Champions League had not only propelled Sundowns to glory but had also earned her the well-deserved recognition as the standout player of the tournament.

As she lifted the trophy alongside her teammates, Rabale’s performance became a defining chapter in the success story of Sundowns Women’s Football Club.
