English Premier League side Bournemouth are in talks to sign Ghana attacker Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City.
TEAMtalk, reports that the club are also interested in securing the signature of Alex Scott in the January transfer window.
New Bournemouth owner Bill Foley is set to make funds available to Cherries boss Gary O’Neil this month to strengthen his squad and they have their sights on forward Semenyo and midfielder Scott.
Semenyo and Scott have caught the eye at Bristol City in the last year and are regarded as two of the best young talents outside the Premier League.
A number of clubs, including Crystal Palace and Rangers, have been credited with an interest in striker Semenyo, who featured for Ghana at the World Cup.
Semenyo is in the final six months of his contract at Bristol City with the club holding an option to extend it, while midfielder Scott is under contract until 2025.
Bristol City are bracing themselves for interest in their two prize assets in January and the Robins could find it hard to reject any sizeable offers for the duo.
Bournemouth are ready to test Bristol City’s resolve to hang onto the pair with a double bid in the region of £20m for Semenyo and Scott as they see the pair as players with huge potential for the future and big resale value.
Semenyo, who turns 23 in January, has made 121 appearances for Bristol City so far, scoring 18 goals.
The 19-year-old Scott, meanwhile, has played 70 times for the first team, scoring four times to date.
Bristol City are 19th in the Championship after 26 games. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are 15th in the Premier League after 17 matches.
