Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante is eagerly anticipating his first goal for Coventry City as they face Stoke City in the 2024/25 Championship opener.
Despite aiming to score in a pre-season friendly against German side Werder Bremen, the 25-year-old now sets his sights on finding the net in the match on Saturday. Thomas-Asante recently made his debut for Coventry after signing a four-year contract from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.
Expressing his excitement, Thomas-Asante shared, “I am over the moon to get to work. I was expecting to get my debut goal but we will save that for my league debut at Stoke.” He added, “I am super excited and I cannot wait to give the fans something to be excited about.”
Last season with West Brom, Thomas-Asante netted 12 goals and provided two assists in 43 matches across all competitions. Now, the Black Stars forward is eager to make an impact at the Bet365 Stadium.
