Nations FC Brands Manager, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has attacked the credibility of the Director General of the National Sports Authority over the current happenings of the Accra Sports Stadium.
The NSA have come under a barrage of attacks from the public after deciding to shut the stadium from football related activities to musical concert. The audacious move has since moved Accra Lions, Accra Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics from the nations Wembly to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
A video cited by Sports World Ghana and reposted by former journalist of GBC now the Brands Manager of Nations FC has elicited anger from the public. In an 8 seconds video, a motor rider is seen screeching the already malnourished green grass with the Tyre of the motor leaving the bare spoil exposed.
“Bad Leadership..The Director General of the Natioal Sports Authority Prof Peter Twumasi must be sacked by the president with immediate effect. The attached video is how the pitch at the Accra Sports Stadium was” ATTACKED” during the Stonebwoy concert. Such a failure wants to become an MP in Ghana” Kennedy wrote on Facebook. The bad maintenance culture and deteriorating state of our stadia means only the Baba Yara Stadium is the only CAF approved stadium in Ghana.
