The top 5 leagues in Europe heavily opposed FIFA’s idea of the expanded Club World Cup, yet it was played in the U.S.A where Chelsea thrashed European champions PSG 3-0 in the finals to win the maiden edition.

The other parts of the world, except UEFA was excited to have gotten the opportunity to showcase what they have for world football, with clubs from Brazil putting up a great show and Morocco’s Wydad Athletic reiterating the reason why they have one of the best supporting bases in the world.

Many have been doubting the continuity of the competition, but Brazil have confirmed their interest in hosting the world in 2029 in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Brazil is always ready to host the world once again after hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, making it one of the few countries that have ultra-modern facilities for sports.

ESPN Brazil announced, “Brazil has asked FIFA to host the 2029 Club World Cup. A meeting took place this morning in Brasília. Attendees included Gianni Infantino (FIFA president), Lula Da Silva (President of Brazil), Carlo Ancelotti (Brazil national team head coach), Samir Xaud (CBF president), and Gustavo Dias Henrique (CBF vice-president).

“During the meeting, Brazil formally requested to host the 2029 Club World Cup. The CBF has been working behind the scenes on this idea for months”.

Brazil will be willing to welcome the world once again, having shown on so many occasions that the country is the home of football.
