Emerse Fae, 40, has been confirmed as the new manager for the Elephants of Ivory Coast after working wonders to win the 2023 AFCON for the Ivorians.
The rookie manager took the Elephants in the middle of the 2023 AFCON when all hope was lost and managed to lead Ivory Coast to lift the trophy.
Fae took over from Jean-Louis Gasset after a disastrous Group Stage when Ivory Coast won one and lost two games. Fae managed to avoid defeat in the Knockout phase and subsequently won Ivory Coast their third AFCON trophy.
FIF President Yacine Idriss Diallo has announced the confirmation of Fae as the new boss for Ivory Coast.
It is not surprising at all to see Fae being confirmed as the permanent manager for Ivory Coast. He is expected to qualify Ivory Coast for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco and the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA/Mexico/Canada.
