Confederation of African Football (CAF) have handed Black Stars striker Benjamin Tetteh a three matches ban after his red card against Gabon.
The former Ghana U20 star will serve a 3 match ban after he was sent off in the post match melee against Gabon after a 1-1 stalemate in Yaounde.
The lanky striker will miss Ghana’s next 3 games which include last group game,a possible R16 and quarter final game should Ghana make that far in the ongoing tournament.
Tetteh was a substitute in the 90th minute after Gabon equalized late in the game against Ghana after failing to give the ball back to Ghana as fair play.
After this incident, Ghana were furious and the striker was captured punching a Gabonese player’s face leading to his ban.
