Arsenal star Thomas Partey, has pulled out of Ghana’s Black Stars starting XI against Brazil after picking an injury during warm-up, the Ghana Football Association, has confirmed.
Partey, who had originally been named in the Black Stars team to face the South American giants, has since been replaced by Baba Iddrisu who plays for Spanish Laliga side RCD Mallorca.
Ghana will face the South American team in a pre-World Cup friendly and the China-based attacker has taken to social media to wish the Black Stars team the very best in the match.
The Samba Boys enter the game unbeaten in 13 games, having scored 30 goals in that time.
The South American giants have assembled a strong squad, which includes Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar and Real Madrid duo Vinicuis Jr. and Rodrygo.
Meanwhile, Ghana will also on the 27th of September engage in another friendly against Nicaragua before they later play Switzerland on 17th November, 2022.
