Nigerian striker Victor Boniface will miss AFCON 2023 per Football transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano.
In X post, Romano wrote, “Victor Boniface will miss the AFCON for Nigeria due to groin injury, he’s expected to be out for six weeks”.
“Massive blow for the Super Eagles and one more injury to manage for Bayer Leverkusen”, added Fabrizio.
Victor Boniface earlier on Monday missed Nigeria’s 2-0 defeat against Guinea. The 23-year-old who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Royale Union SG in Belgium in the Summer was expected to transfer his club form to the AFCON 2023 due to start on Saturday. He has joined Wilfred Ndidi in missing the AFCON for the Super Eagles.
