Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Brian Brobbey, has strongly rejected claims indicating his decision to make a move to German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig was a bad choice.

The 19-year-old was resigned in the winter transfer window following the departure of Ivorian forward Sebastien Haller for the Africa Cup of nations.

Brobbey joined Leipzig from Ajax on a free transfer last summer, but failed to cement a starting berth in the team, starting just two games following his switch to Germany.

Speaking in an interview with Ajax Magazine, Brobbey said: “It was not a bad choice to go to Leipzig. It just didn’t work out. But then again, I couldn’t see into the future.

Asked what the year looks like for him, the promising striker replied: “I’ll find out in June. Until then, I’ll stay here in Amsterdam.”

Brobbey, has scored three goals in two games for Ajax so far this season after rejoining them on loan from Leipzig.
