Caleb Yirenkyi stepped onto the pitch in the second half of Ghana’s Unity Cup match against Nigeria and delivered a strong performance.
Although Ghana lost 2-1, his debut was one of the positives of the evening. Caleb showed confidence from the moment he entered the game. He moved the ball quickly, made smart decisions, and often looked to drive forward when he had space.
His ability to hold onto the ball under pressure and link up with teammates added rhythm to Ghana’s play in the second half.
He also showed good awareness by picking the right passes and supporting both attack and defense. It was a promising first outing for the young midfielder, and his performance has increased hopes that he could become a regular face in the national team setup.
