Ghanaian youngster Ibrahim Osman has opened up about the conversations he had with his Black Stars teammate Tariq Lamptey before making the switch to Premier League club, Brighton and Hove Albion.
Osman revealed that he had discussions with Lamptey during the June World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Mali, where Lamptey shared his insights about the club and the city.
Despite limited interactions, Osman appreciated Lamptey’s advice, saying, “It was cool with him in the Black Stars camp although we didn’t speak a lot but with his help, he has been telling me about the city and the club.” Osman also credited another academy mate, Simon Adingra, for providing guidance about the club.
The young winger, who previously trained at the Right to Dream Academy alongside Adingra, noted their shared journey from academy hopefuls to Premier League prospects.
“It was only a few years ago when the two boys were walking the streets of the academy as young footballers with big dreams and now they will be playing together at the same club,” Osman said.
Adingra, who impressed at the Africa Cup of Nations and in Brighton’s recent season, had also been providing Osman with advice about the club.
“I have been speaking to Simon for quite some time also about the club and he tells me a lot. I can’t wait to connect with them at the club and get going,” Osman added.
