Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has revealed that the Bulgaria Football Union officials have been pressuring him to naturalize for the European Country.
He said officials of the football Association in Bulgaria have been on his neck to turn his back on Ghana and play for their national team.
According to him, he loves Ghana so much and has for that reason decided to not play for the European nation.
“Ludogorets officials made an attempt to convince me to play for the Bulgarian National Team but I declined that opportunity because I love my country Ghana”, Bernard Tekpetey told Angel 96.1 fm.
The 24-year-old former Fortuna Düsseldorf player played 23 matches in the Bulgarian First Professional League this season and bagged 10 goals and provided 9 assists.
In all competitions this season, the former FC Schalke 04 man made 37 appearances in all and had 10 goals and 12 assists to his name.
