Botev Plovdiv continues to bolster its squad with the signing of experienced full-back Enock Kwateng ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The French-born Ghanaian impressed during his trial period and quickly earned the trust of the coaching team, leading to a permanent deal with the yellow-blacks.
Enock Kwateng brings valuable experience to the Bulgarian side, having featured in over 100 top-flight French league matches for Bordeaux and Nantes.
His most recent stint saw him turning out for Turkish outfit Ankaragucu, and now he arrives in Botev Plovdiv with hopes of becoming a key figure in the club’s defensive unit.
The club confirmed the signing, expressing confidence that the 28-year-old will bring leadership and balance to the team. Enock Kwateng is expected to make his debut when Botev Plovdiv travel to face Cherno More at the Ticha Stadium in Varna.
Speaking after signing the deal, the talented defender expressed his excitment. ”I am very happy to sign with this historic club in Bulgaria.
