Bulgarian federation have approached me about switching nationality- Bernard Tekpetey

Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey has revealed that the Bulgarian federation has approached him about switching nationality from Ghana to Bulgaria.

This is in part due to his amazing performances at club level in the past three seasons without getting a callup to the Black Stars.

He said he prefers to play for Ghana but has not ruled out a switch to Bulgaria.

“Yes, we have discussed that but I told them to wait until after the world cup, but once am from Ghana, I would like to play for Ghana,” he confirmed to Sompa Sports.

Bernard Tekpetey was named the best foreign player in the Bulgarian Parva Liga following his sparkling performances last season.
