Burkina Faso has parted ways with their French coach Velud Hubert. The Stallions reached the Round 16th Stage of the 2023 AFCON where they lost 2-1 to Mali.
The Football Association of Burkina Faso thinks the Stallions have the potential to go further than the Round 16 hence have decided to part ways.
Velud Hubert, 64, has known the African terrain since 2009 when he landed his first job as the head coach of the Togo National Team. He has since gone ahead to coach clubs like TP Mazembe, Etoile du Sahel, JSK, USM Algier, ES Setif, Hassania Agadir and Constantine.
Valid Hubert has been in charge of the Stallions of Burkina Faso since 2022 and he was tasked to at least reach the semi-finals of the 2023 AFCON.
