Burton Albion manager Dino Maamria has praised Ghanaian young goalkeeper Jordan Amissah for his exploits in the League 1.
Amissah who is on loan from Sheffield United has been in great form for Burton and has excelled in all the games he has featured for them.
Amissah saved Burton in midweek when he made the save of the season in the 89th minute as the game ended 1-0 and he has been commended by the club boss.
“One thing I love about Jordan, people often won’t see his goal celebrations when we score or win a game, whether he’s on the bench or not. He cares about what we’re doing. I think all of our loan players have shown a brilliant attitude. They’ve embraced being with Burton Albion and relished the challenge. They will all go back to their clubs as men after coming in as young boys. It’s been a great experience for them and they have done well.” Maamria told the Burton media
“Jordan has been the heart and soul of the group and I’d always told him I would give him minutes. I was so delighted for him on Wednesday to have a win, a clean sheet and a terrific performance as well. He deserved that. Sometimes, when you’re consistent, show a good attitude and work hard, you earn your reward and he earned that. You could tell he was on his game because he took some balls and made them look easy. His distribution was good under pressure and you could tell from his body language that he was on it. He was terrific throughout the night.”
Amissah is expected to return ti Sheffield United this summer following their promotion to the English Premier League.
