The semifinalists for the 2022/23 Caf Confederation Cup have been confirmed as Asec Mimosas, Young Africans, USM Alger, and Marumo Gallants.

The quarterfinal matches on Sunday saw some surprising results, with Pyramids crashing out of the competition. Marumo Gallants secured a 1-0 victory over Pyramids F.C in South Africa with a goal from Celimpelo Ngema in the 39th minute.

Meanwhile, Asec Mimosas won 2-0 in Ivory Coast against US Monastir, with Frank Zouzou scoring in first-half added time and Pacome Zouzoua adding another in the 91st minute.

USM Alger equalized twice against FAR Rabat in their 3-2 defeat, but still qualified for the semifinals due to their 2-0 victory in the first leg. In the last quarterfinal game, Young Africans drew 0-0 against Rivers United at home, advancing to the semifinals with their first leg 2-0 win in Nigeria.

The semifinals promise to be fiercely contested, with Asec Mimosas facing off against USM Alger, and Marumo Gallants taking on Young Africans in their first ever semifinal appearance.
