Medeama SC, the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, has officially announced the transfer of ten of their players to Sirens FC, a team in the Maltese Premier League.

These ten players have successfully secured professional contracts with Sirens FC, marking the commencement of their European ventures.

Midfielders Kwasi Donsu and Prosper Owusu Boakye, along with forwards Charles Agyemang, Frank Boateng, and Joshua Agyemang, as well as Bismark Asare and defenders Daniel Opoku and Moro Muktar, are all set to join the Maltese side this week, having completed the necessary formalities.

Completing the list is winger Akadom Mohammed Hafiz, who is also departing the club for Europe.

In terms of contract details, Kwasi Donsu, Frank Boateng, and Joshua Agyemang have inked one-year loan agreements, while the remaining seven players have signed permanent contracts.

This move represents a historic step for the players and the club, embarking on a new journey in Europe. The players are expected to commence their European endeavors as they arrive in Malta on Tuesday.

Joshua Agyemang’s departure from the club will occur after the return leg of the CAF Champions League match against Remo Stars FC in Nigeria on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Both Medeama and Sirens have reached undisclosed terms regarding the contracts of these nine players.

Notably, Donsu, Prosper Boakye, Joshua Agyemang, Moro Muktar, Daniel Opoku, and Moro Muktar played pivotal roles in Medeama’s triumphant 2022-23 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Medeama extends their best wishes to these players as they embark on the next phase of their careers.
