In the ambitious pursuit of success in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League, Medeama faces a financial challenge, as revealed by their bankroller, Moses Parker.
Highlighting the struggle to sustain the campaign, Parker stressed the essential need for substantial financial backing, expressing optimism about anticipated pledges coming through.
In an exclusive statement, Parker shifted the team’s focus away from financial concerns, urging them to concentrate on their upcoming clash against CR Belouizdad.
Despite financial hardships, a ray of support emerged as Parker disclosed that Goldfields Ghana had provided a significant boost, contributing $100,000 for their crucial journey to face Al Ahly.
“It’s not easy, but we are waiting. Goldfields gave us $100,000 for our trip, and that’s what we used to prepare for the first game,” he informed Peace FM.
“While waiting for CAF to provide support, we’ve received nothing to date. We hope the additional funds we expect will come. We are steadfast in our preparation, avoiding unnecessary pressure. I don’t want to dwell on financial matters; our focus is on the match to bring glory to Ghana. We are determined to emerge victorious; that’s where our attention lies.”
