Jwaneng Galaxy South African coach, Morena Ramoreboli, 42, has hit back at a journalist who accused his team of using “Black Magic” in the wake of their surprise 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca in Marrakech.
The Galaxy commenced their 2023-24 CAF Champions League campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win against last season’s runner-up, Wydad Athletic.
A journalist asked the 42-year-old about the Galaxy using “Black Magic” after the match.
The coach was not happy and did not take the question too kindly. ” Guys, you are being unfair, “Ramoreboli said at the press conference.
“I said they were doing warm-ups, doing warm-ups before the game. Ah, now you are undermining me, you’re saying we won because of black magic! Don’t disrespect us!
“I am very sorry because he can’t be talking like that” continued the coach.
Ramoreboli walked out of the gathered journalists and did not even finish his press conference as he was angry.
Jwaneng Galaxy will host Simba SC in MD2 whereas Wydad Athletic will travel to Ivory Coast to face Asec Mimosas.
