Al Ahly’s standout player, Percy Tau, has sounded a warning to his team ahead of their pivotal CAF Champions League encounter against TP Mazembe.
The Red Devils secured their spot in the semi-finals after defeating Simba 3-0 on aggregate in the previous round.
Now, they are gearing up to face Mazembe, with the first leg set to take place in Lubumbashi on Saturday, followed by the return leg in Cairo a week later.
Having faced Mazembe in the past while playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, Tau understands the challenge that awaits Al Ahly. He emphasized the need for caution against the formidable Congolese side.
“I faced Mazembe before in the same stadium and I know how difficult it can be,” Tau stated via the club’s social media channels. “But we have experienced players in our squad who have been in such situations. We have managed to pull off big away results in the past, and that is what we intend to do on Saturday.”
