Highly-rated youngster, Isaac Oppong, scored late into the game as Asante Kotoko beat RC Kadiogo in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round.
Oppong, who was out of action for the majority of last season due to injury, left it late at the Kerekou Stadium in Cotonou, Benin, on Monday to give Kotoko a 1-0 win.
The win gives the Porcupine Warriors an advantage heading into the return leg to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ghanaians have reacted positively to the performance of the team, though some believe they could have done better.
Here are reactions from social media:
RC Kadiogo 0-1 Kotoko
The Porcupines win an away game in CAF Champions League. I don’t even remember the last time or how many times this has happened.

RC Kadiogo not a strong team per the game I watched
Kotoko might get past them to the next round
But frankly Kotoko team not good

Massive win for Kotoko, very few sides are able to win away from home. I hope it's a forgone conclusion when their opponents come through in a week's time.
