Group A

Supersport United is out of the Confederation Cup after failing to beat Modern Future FC. The South Africans came from behind to draw 1-1 in Pretoria with Matodzi cancelling Zaazaa’s first-half strike in the 69th minute.

USM Algier lost 2-1 in Libya to Al Hilal Benghazi. Ousamma Chita scored the consolation in the second after Mufta’s (14th min) and Al Taeb’s (50th min) goals gave Al Hilal a two-goal lead.

USM Algier and Modern Future FC have qualified from the group with a game to spare.

Group B

Zamalek won 2-1 in Libya against Abu Salim. Zamalek has topped the group after winning 13 points from the possible 15.  SOAR in Guinea drew a disappointing goalless against Sagrada with both teams exiting the competition.

Group C

Group C is still undecided after Dreams FC won 1-0 via Atuahene’s 50th-minute strike against Club Africain and Nigeria’s Rivers United also won 3-2 in Angola against Academica. Dreams top the group with 12 points with Club Africain and Rivers United each on 9. All three teams can qualify depending on how things will pan out on MD6.

Group D

Sekhukhune drew 0-0 with RS Berkane while Stade Malien clinched a late winner against Diables Noirs in Bamako. Berkane and Stade Malien have progressed to the knockout phase at the expense of Sekhukhune and Diables Noirs.
