The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the final list of nominees for the prestigious 2024 CAF Awards, set to take place at the Palais des Congrès in Morocco.
The awards will honor outstanding performances across various categories, with five finalists competing for the Men’s Player of the Year and three nominees vying for the Women’s Player of the Year.
Final Nominees:
Men’s Player of the Year:
- Simon Adingra (Côte d’Ivoire / Brighton & Hove Albion)
- Serhou Guirassy (Guinea / Borussia Dortmund)
- Achraf Hakimi (Morocco / PSG)
- Ademola Lookman (Nigeria / Atalanta)
- Ronwen Williams (South Africa / Mamelodi Sundowns)
Women’s Player of the Year:
- Barbra Banda (Zambia / Orlando Pride)
- Sanaa Mssoudy (Morocco / AS FAR)
- Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria / Paris FC)
In addition to the top player categories, the list includes nominees for Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year. Noteworthy inclusions feature Andre Onana (Manchester United) for Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year and Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC) for Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
National teams and clubs such as Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Al Ahly, and AS FAR will also contend for the National Team and Club of the Year titles.
The CAF Awards continue to be a prominent event on the African football calendar, recognizing excellence and celebrating the continent’s top talents.
