On Saturday, the Stade Mohamed V will host a second-leg match between Raja Casablanca and Al Ahly in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.
Raja Casablanca is currently trailing 2-0 on aggregate after suffering a defeat to Al Ahly in the first-leg encounter on April 22, which ended their nine-match unbeaten run in the competition.
Despite this setback, Raja has a 10-match unbeaten run at home in regulation time in Africa’s most prestigious club tournament, including one draw against Al Ahly, and coach Mondher Kebaier is counting on their supporters to push them forward in the return leg.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly is aiming to extend their unbeaten run in the Champions League to four matches after defeating Cameroon champions Coton Sport in their last away game.
Despite missing Akram Tawfiq, Karim Fouad, and Amr Al-Souliya due to injuries, Al Ahly is confident of their chances, but head coach Marcel Koller knows that the task will not be easy in Morocco.
Both teams have no suspension worries coming into this highly-anticipated match, and Al Ahly remains undefeated against Raja after recording four wins and two draws in their six Champions League encounters since 2005.
